Rabbi Herbert J. Cohen

Executive Director/Family Educator

 

Rabbi Herbert J. Cohen, ordained at Yeshiva University, received a PhD in English Literature from Georgia State University. He has taught Judaic and general  studies at the high school and university levels for many years.

Rabbi Cohen served as Principal of Yeshiva High School in Atlanta from 1976 through 1998, as Headmaster of Columbus Torah Academy from 1999 through 2003 and as Head of School for the Denver Torah Academy from 2004 through 2006.

Rabbi Cohen is married to Meryl, an artist and they have six children, two stepchildren, and a number of grandchildren.

Rabbi Cohen is the author of two books, The One of Us: A Life in Jewish Education and Kosher Parenting: A Guide for Raising Kids in a Complex World.
