Rabbi Jay Weinstein Adult Education
Rabbi Jay Weinstein, while completing his studies at Yeshiva University, moved to Dallas to serve as an Adult Educator at the Community Kollel and Rabbinic Intern at Congregation Shaare Tefilla. While studying in Israel at Yeshivat Har Etzion and at YU’s Gruss Kollel, he received Semicha (Rabbinical ordination) from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. His B.A. from YU’s Sy Syms School of Business is in Accounting. Rabbi Jay enjoys working with the Special Needs Population. While earning a Masters in Special Education from Columbia University, he taught students with disabilities in both Yeshiva Day Schools and New York City Public Schools. He is licensed by NY State in General and Special Education. Before coming to Dallas, Rabbi Jay served as a College Rabbi at Stern College and NCSY director in Mount Kisco, NY. He has participated in YU programming in various places including Belarus, San Francisco and Atlanta. Rabbi Jay moved to Dallas together with his wife, Sharon, who will be teaching Judaic Studies and Math at Yavneh Academy, and their one year old daughter, Ora, who will be enjoying a play group!
